Loyola Lenten Series 2019 Presents “Jesuitica: Terms that Define Ignatian Spirituality”

Loyola press release - February 18, 2019

As the parades and parties come to an end on Fat Tuesday and the season of Lent begins Ash Wednesday, Loyola University New Orleans presents the 2019 Lenten Series: “Jesuitica: Terms that Define Ignatian Spirituality.”

The Lenten Series will host three talks by Jesuit priests along with an added PBS documentary on the life of Catholic Southern writer Flannery O’Connor. Each talk will be held on a Wednesday evening during Lent at 7 p.m. on Loyola’s main campus, 6363 St. Charles Ave. and the Flannery O’Connor documentary will be held in Miller Hall 114. All events are free and open to the public. Free parking is available in the West Road garage.

“Lent is a season when not only the Loyola community but the entire Christian world uses these 40 days for spiritual renewal and repentance,” said Vice President for Mission and Identity and University Chaplain Father Ted Dziak, S.J., Ph.
